Should you be flying to Budapest, do not exchange money at the airport as the rates offered there are poor.

Always check the bank notes before paying as you can easily mix them with each other - it does matter whether it's a 2000 HUF bank note, or 20.000 HUF. Be careful as not all waiters will tell you when you get it wrong.

Should you want to reach the city by public transportation from the airport, purchase your tickets at the airport, as they are more expensive when you buy them from the driver on the bus.

Order taxis by phone instead of catching one at the airport - you can save a lot of money this way.

Try 'langos' when you're around - it's a must, and it's best with sour cream and cheese.

Taste our gorgeous goulash soup. We Hunagrians usually eat pancakes afterwards - with cottage cheese, home-made jams or cocoa filling.

Now that you ate, drink something too! Do not miss out on the tasty Hungarian wines.

Should you not be a wines fan, try something stronger - palinka or Unicum are typical Hungarian choices.

Do not miss an amazing boat trip on the Danube. It's a great adventure during daytime, and in the evening is simpy marvelous.

  • Absolutely fantastic apartments in a brilliant central location. The apartment is so fantastically designed so all of us could sleep comfortably (all 6 of us!) and have a wonderful birthday weekend. Especially liked the fantastic shower after a long day walking around the beautiful city. Anita was a brilliant host and I would 100% recommend her place to anyone wanting to see the city.

  • Anita And Márton apartment was incredibly nice. It was as pretty as the pictures, just even more spacious. It was just a quick walk to most of the facilities. Very central at the same time placed in a quiet area. I would definitely recommend this apartment if you are going to Budapest! Thank you for having us:)

  • Anita was a perfect host - friendly, reliable and flexible. The apartment looks exactly as nice as on the pictures and everything needed is there. Only disadvantage of the apartment is the dance club in the street, because the music was very loud on saturday till 4am.

Plus, Anita was extremely nice to us and helped us with everything we needed! And the flat is very well located (we didn't take public transportation at all during all stay - yes, we like walking too)!
